optimism at it's finest.

DEPLOYMENT SUCKS but, there are (believe it or not) a few positives I can focus on.

1. The moolah, bread, dough, green, & in english, money. He gets extra money while on deployment and we don't have a bill for power, water, or his cell phone so hello pretty savings account =)

2. I never shave unless it's absolutely necessary. I'm fully aware of the fact that some of you may find that incredibly gross but I don't care. :) Just being honest

3. "Absense makes the heart grow fonder". Long distances for long periods of time can either make or break a relationship. I'm not going to lie and say that this has been all roses and sweet nothings because it hasn't. I've been ill, Q's been ill, and we're ill at each other only because we're apart. BUT, with that being said, I feel so much closer to him now than ever before. Deployment has shown both of us what missing someone is all about. It's given me a deeper appreciation for who my husband is and what he does.

4. Although, I feel a little ridiculous living with my parents since I'm a married woman now, I'm thankful for the days when I feel like things are too much to handle and I can crawl in the bed with my momma! I get to be my Daddy's princess for a little while longer and I'm here for the majority of my baby brother's senior year.

5. Only having to take care of myself has it's pros. I only have to clean up after myself, cook for myself (when the parentals venture off), and do laundry for one. That's also a horrible reminder of how lonely I really am, but this post is focusing on the positives.....moving along.

6. I can be a complete nerd. I love me some Harry Potter and Disney movies. He'll learn to love them one day too.

7. Deployment has reassured me of the fact that there's no one else I'd rather share my life with than Q. I love him more than I did yesterday and less than I will tomorrow. He is, I am, We are deployment strong :)
